Buddy Reading

Here is a lovely example of buddy reading taking place in the library today - a Year 3 child reading to a Year 2 child. We love to see this kind of meaningful interaction taking place.

Performance Poet Matt Windle

Year 6 were given a wonderful treat last week when Matt Windle visited GIS. Matt is an award-winning performance poet from the UK. He made genuine connections with the students and guided them to write their own poetry which many of them performed last Wednesday afternoon. Here is a video of the winning team in action.
