Peter Carnavas visiting GIS


Last week, students of GIS were very pleased to have Peter Carnavas in the house for two days. He is a very talented author and illustrator.



He gave a special talk to the parents on how to promote creativity in their children. Years 1, 2, 3 and EYC students gets involved with the session and have been inspired to create their own stories.

Chapter books: where to start?

There is a lot of questions from parents asking books that suitable for their kids. In Primary Library, we provide series of Aussie Nibbles, Aussie Bites and Aussie Chomps to encourage students to start reading chapter books.


Suitable for readers in beginners stage.


Suitable for kids range from 7 - 10 year olds.


A bit longer and more difficult, suitable for age 8 - 12 year old.

All these range of series are located in Spinner 2. If you have problems in finding all of them, please seek for help from the librarians.
