The adventure of Vulgar the Viking

Good news to all of you!

We have new series in the library right now for you to enjoy.

There is six books in Vulgar the Viking collection, which will bring you on a hilarious adventure about a charismatic young hero with a larger-than-life attitude and a taste of the mischief. If you love Horrid Henry, you might probably fall in love with this series too.

Come and grab one now before other students have them in their library bag.

How to search for books in the library?

Two weeks since school open, I am very sure that you are familiar enough with our library.

In order to help you search for books in the library, we have provide Orbit for you to use. If you need any helps to understand more on how to use Orbit, we are here to help you. Below are the steps that you need to follow while using Orbit.

Friday : 7.15am until 4.00pm

Poet Paul Cookson returns to GIS

Paul Cookson is returning to GIS in June. We had so much fun with him last October that we asked to come back again to entertain us.
If you would like to order his books, come to the Primary Library to collect an order form. Orders need to be back to us by Monday, 6th June.

Novel Knockout Competition at Epsom College

On Wednesday, 11th May, two teams represented GIS in the Primary section of the annual KL Novel Knockout competition at Epsom College. This is a challenging competition where students need to read eight books and remember every detail. Eighteen teams from KL’s international schools took part in this fun reading event and our two teams scored in the top third of the competing teams. One of our teams, The Four Novelists, came in at 2nd place and The Fantastic Four came in at 6th place. We are very proud of our eight participants who were great ambassadors for our school.
